Annual St George’s Day Renewal of Promise Parade. Sunday April 26th

This is one of only two occasions each year at which the presence of all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts is required. If you really cannot attend for very good reasons, please ensure that you tell your section leader beforehand.
We will meet in Mill Road, Arundel outside the car park and opposite the castle entrance at 2.00 p.m. on Sunday April 26th. The parade will then assemble inside the castle grounds, walk to the Cathedral, where we will have our Renewal of promise service, and walk back to the Mill Road castle entrance. Your sons and daughters will be back and ready for collection at approximately 4 p.m.
Please ensure that all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are in full clean and neat uniforms and are, if possible, wearing black leather shoes.
If the weather is cold but dry, please wear additional clothing under uniform; we will not wear coats unless it is actually raining. If it is wet, bring a waterproof coat.
The St George’s Day parade is, perhaps, the most important formal event in the Scouting calendar. Please do your very best to ensure that all members of the Group are present and in smart and complete uniform.

Remembrance Day Parade – Sunday November 9th

All members of the Group are asked to attend a Remembrance Day Service. Scouts, Cubs from both Walberton and Barnham and Beavers from Barnham will attend the service at the War Memorial in Eastergate. Please arrive at The Croft Surgery car park, Eastergate by 10.15 a.m. We will walk from there to the War Memorial and will return to the car park by about 11.30 a.m.
Please wear your best uniform, with black leather shoes if possible. If the weather is cold but dry, please wear extra clothing under your uniform. If it is raining, wear a waterproof coat over your uniform.
All members of the Group are expected to attend the Remembrance Day Service unless they have a very good reason for not doing so. This is one of only 2 occasions – the other is our St George’s day Parade in April – at which attendance is compulsory. If you really cannot attend, please tell the leader-in-charge of your section beforehand.

Walberton Beavers will be attending a service at Walberton church – Julian will be sending out details regarding this. If you also have children in Cubs and/or Scouts, Walberton Beavers and their siblings can attend either Walberton church or the service at the War Memorial.
